Half life saves

Oh yes I blew it big time.
While trying get CS to run for the first time I got the game pretty hosed up and just plain waxed it to start over.
I saved my save game folder to the desk top but after trying to restore it to the new install found out it was a shortcut to a now nonexisting folder! Doh!! Damn beers!
(I've played the game before all the way though but this classic ya gotta play twice.)

But anyway is there a way I can pickup were I left off? I was somewere in the apprehension level and have looked around the net for anyone with a site with saved games. Seems there are none. I've done this before with Thief when I screwed up badly the last time. (suprisingly)
Anyone with Halflife on their comps and could E-mail me there "saved game" folder and I could pick through it? Or a link or cheat to get back were I was?
Any ideas are welcome.

As for getting CS to run thats another story.. Like to fix this first. :)

Yeah someone can e-mail you a saved game and if you copy it to your saved game folder it should work. It has to be the same version, though.

You could also just use console cheats to get you to the same point and give yourself roughly the same weapon and ammo loadout you had when you left off.
