From the bad list: Beware, this lamer recently took several more at hardocp. Also beware this troll contacting you via aim, icq, yahoo, msn messanger, etc.. with tring to offer a compaq server, drives and other things if only you will send him stuff. You'd be advised to avoid him and NEVER send him anything. DON'T fall for his lame stories. aim: maddkid17 icq: 97181399 *Has been using the name pioneer at another forum. Yes, former mod at ocp.  Please note: This is a bit long but I hope you take the time to look this over. The few minutes it takes can save you from getting ripped off.  Please read the advice on www.trollhunters.com for the common sense advice. Beware one real big bad crook now who's ripping of many at anands, egay, hardocp, etc.. What really bugs me here is no one bothered to get this persons REAL INFO! Say what!!! Yep, around 25-30 on egay and around 10-15 on the foums(none here yet )His name might be Brian Williams, William Blake, Shawn Kim, Eric Desan, Eric Ranthom, Eric Shawn Allen etc... I could go on and on. Please, read http://www.trollhunters.com/ For those that do not wish to click the link, here's the highlights: We all want to see the good in people and trust others but unfortunately because of the way people can scam others so easliy on the net it's time many of us started to be more careful and practice safer trading. With all due respect to the ones who have been ripped off here's a couple of vital things which we all should do. When anyone you are not familar with gives you their Heatware evals PLEASE check them out and be sure the evals are for the actual one you are trading with. Email some on their list and ask them just to confirm they are who they say they are. Ebay evals are almost worthless to us. We don't know traders there but we do know the ones on Heatware so you know if they are telling you the truth or not. Several like tommy4437, firehawk2 and bigtrader2k1 have successfully passed off others good evals as their own. Check em out and BE SURE they are who they say they are. **Big One Here: When sending money via paypal ALWAYS get the other persons REAL info. Their real name, address and phone number. You should also confirm that info to be on the safe side by calling them. Many have been taken because they failed to even get a real name(see above). *Be sure they are pay pal verified Don't be taken in by that "great price" and good communication from someone you would normally not send first to or cross ship with. That's how some trolls entice others into sending first and taking them for their money or items. Use your judgement and common sense. It's funny isn't it in a way. After you send first then that great communication stops immediately. Don't let this happen to you. With all due respect to newbies or those with few evals DON'T SEND FIRST to a newbie. Let me repeat myself, DO NOT SEND FIRST to a newbie. Yes they have this just GREAT deal so you let your guard down in hopes to get that great deal. Some may be legit but as we know some are not. Many are those offering a great deal and convince others to send first. Then tadaaaaa, that newbie conveniently disappears. How many times has that happened? Be smart people. Not all do this of course but is it really worth taking a chance. You know that old saying which I know you've all heard many many times: "If it sounds too good to be true..." You know the rest. It's a good thing that we have people like Blade, Socalgal, TonyH, bigcfromcinci, hammer01, Mntsnow, Ulfwald, Roger, and Rainguy, The TrollHunters! to help prevent these creeps from robbing us blind.
But everyone has to stay ahead of the Troll Scum that's out there. Everyone who has been taken by these crooks please start getting all info and proof you have on your bad deals with them together. Pay pal copies, emails, anything that can show where they ripped you off. Any and all proof.

I think I have been trolled
Hey blade, I found out about you when I ran into a troll through overclockers.com. His name was matt whitaker. I recently have had another problem with a seller at overclockers. I am coming here for help from the trollhunters because overclockers.com doesn't have anything like this. Here's what happened...
...I bought a v8200 deluxe for 169 from a guy in Kitchener Ontario. I payed him and he sentthe card. The card I got in the mail was not an 8200 deluxe though. it was an old s3 graphics card. i told him and he thought i was trying to keep the 8200 and his money. I don't know if he thinks he really did send it and he thinks I am trying to scam him, or if he's scamming me. I have his name address and phone number. Think you could help? |
