TIN covered COPPER Ram Sinks

Yep,another ram sink review.  :)  The first one's I did can be found here: Thermaltake and here: Alpha (both which were NOT able 2 be used on any of my Radeon cards with out moding them heavily).  Well anyways lets get on with it shall we.

So here I was sitting with my Brand new Radeon 8500 and was basking in its greatness when a friend goes "Hey where are the ram sinks?  Any card worth a damn has ram sinks!"  First off he doesn't know what he's talking about but I decided to spiffy up the card anyway.  I headed on over to HighSpeedPC and ordered the latest and greatest Tin coated Copper ram sinks in a convenient 8 pack and Scott shipped them Right out to me.  As you can see here they are quite a bit smaller then the other two heat sinks that I have reviewed:

If you are familiar with the Radeon line of cards, you probably know most don't have much room around the ram chips.  Well this turns out to be a rather large problem if you want to cool them with any sort of passive cooling.  As you can see in the next few photos I show you that there is no way any of the other ram sinks will fit with out doing some sort of a MOD job.

As you can see by those two photos that neither of those heat sinks were a viable solution for me and my R8500.  So I did some searching around and only found 2 solutions I would be happy with.

1. Copper ram sinks

2. Tin coated Copper ram sinks.

I went with the later mainly cause I plan on getting the new Crystal orb once it's released and putting it on my 8500 as well.  Other reasons might include...These is Purdy, the Tin coating won't tarnish like the copper does, and if you are like me, shiny pretty things make me feel all worm and happy.
