A Closer Look:

The first thing I noticed when I removed the Overture from it’s box was that I was staring myself in the face, literally.  The paintjob on this enclosure is like a mirror finish.  It is absolutely stunning.  Not only was the case painted very well, it was also very solidly built and fairly lightweight, especially when compared with the modern day tower enclosures we’ve grown accustomed to.

As we look at the front of the enclosure we see all four of the external drive bays arranged nicely on the face of the enclosure.  It’s very simple and doesn’t have a lot of fancy buttons or switches to confuse.  Just a simple press of the power button and it’s off to the races.  The silver face of the Overture blends nicely with the black that wraps the remainder of the enclosure making the Overture look as if it were wearing a tuxedo.  It offers a good number of drive bays.  Two of both the 3.5” and the 5.25” are available for external use in this enclosure.

Not only does the face of the enclosure offer front USB/Firewire connections, it also offers front audio connectors for your headphones and mic.  Following through with simplicity these are right out in the open for easy and convenient access.  The power button is surrounded by a bright blue ring which serves as a reminder that the computer is up and running.  Also as a means of preventing dust from building up in the system Antec has placed a washable air filter in the side of the case where the air is pulled in by the Power Supply.

The back side of the enclosure offers the same amenities as any modern day tower case.  It has the standard 7 slots for all of your PCI/AGP needs, as well as an I/O panel w/punch outs for everything you could want.  Also on the back of the case you see the standard 92mm fan which also happens to be the only fan, other than the 80mm built into the PSU, that you will find in this case.

Now lets dive even deeper into the Overture and see what’s underneath the surface!
