Antec Overture

Final Thoughts:

The Overture is a solidly built case that defiantly lives up to it’s name. Like an overture, the Overture is a very elegantly styled and good looking case. The front bezel offers access points for you to hook up all of your USB/Firewire peripherals as well as a pair of headphones or a microphone. The single glowing blue ring almost reminds me of Hal2000 in a way. The filter covering the intake of air into the case is also an added nicety.

On the inside of this elegant enclosure you’re provided with plenty of space to put all of your hard drives as well as plenty of room for your optical drives. The space inside the Overture was very well utilized and things were placed in easily accessible locations to the motherboard. The included 92mm fan helps to move air through the case and keep things cool. I think this case would have benefited from an extra ran in the rear or possibly on the side. The way the case is made, two fans could have easily been placed on the rear right and left corners to assist in cooling more efficiently.

While I have no big complaints, the inability to add additional case fans to assist in cooling of the case may hamper attempts at maintaining low case and CPU temps when overclocking. The Overture is defiantly an A+ enclosure that delivers beauty elegance and style all at the same time. When you combine this along with the included power supply you’re getting one GREAT deal!

Pros:

~ Washable Air Filter
~ Convenient drive mounting system
~ Great power supply to handle most functions
~ QUIET operation
~ Silent operation
~ Sturdy construction.
~ Tooless top panel. allows for easy removal
~ USB/Firewire/Audio ports in front bezel

Cons:
~ No options for additional case fans

A big thanks to Antec for sending the Overture for review. Keep up the good work!
