Author: Brian This case is AMAZING. Does that get your attention? Recently released by Antec, the Performance One P160 "Anodized Aluminum Super Mid Tower" is definitely one of the finer cases I have personally used to date. From the time I first opened the packaging...to the installation...and then use of the case...I was impressed more and more as I noticed not only the features, but the attention to detail throughout the case. In the past, pc builders were concerned with things like "rounded edges" to keep their hands from being sliced open, general build quality, and space. Not to sound too fanboy-ish, but this case has so many nice little touches to it that I kept shaking my head in amazement as I worked through installing the components. Space? Check. Thumb screws? Oh yeah...for EVERYTHING. Convenient drive trays. Yup. Front USB, Firewire, audio, and temperature display? It has those too... Initial ImpressionsThe case arrived well packaged...not double-boxed as some, but styrofoam and plastic bag protected.
The styling is attractive with aluminum as the theme. It is surprisingly light when looking at the size of the case in person. The front control panel is a slick combination of useful external connections and geeky LED temp displays. A press of the button on the left allows this panel to be raised/lowered by 45 degrees. The panel came covered with a removable plastic strip to protect the finish during shipping. Features per Antec Product Page
