The controller was set to keep the fans running for five minutes after shutting down the system.

The time settings are easy to adjust using the provided jumpers which have extended tab for easy removal and installation.

The extended tab makes it easier to pull and install the jumpers even with large hands and in tight quarters.

The system was warmed in each test by running Prime95® for thirty minutes. A reading of the CPU temperature was obtained using a flat thermal probe placed at the core of the processor. Readings were recorded at shutdown and at one minute intervals for five minutes.

Note that when the system is shut down the fans are running at a reduced speed to reduce noise and power consumption.

Let's see how it worked >
