A Closer Look (cont.):
Ever get tired of removing two thumb screws and pulling a lever to open your case? Well, DynaPower feels your pain! They've made opening this case a cinch! Just undo one thumb screw and slide the top panel off (make sure you unhook the power to the fan) then pull the side panels up (again, make sure you unhook the power to the fan in the side panel) and BOOM! you're done. All the stand-offs and screws needed are included in a little baggy taped to the bottom of the case.

The ad for the Spiden 99-B says it comes with a 450w PSU, but this unit came with a nice Dual Fan 350w power supply which is manufactured by DynaPower. The power supply is mounted in the normal loaction.
The case accomodates up to (6) 3.5" drives through the use of a non-removable drive cage. The cage is mounted behind the intake fans which blows cool air over the hard drives to assist in cooling the drives. As far as the fans go, there is room for up to (4) fans. The only problem I encountered with this was that installing the fans can tend to be a hassle. Especially if you're one who likes to tinker with different color schemes on your LED fans. (6) screws have to be removed from the case allowing removal of the face plate. Removing the face plate is the only way to mount the fans as you have to run the screws from the front of the case and into the fans becasue the holes were drilled to big for the screws to catch and hold the fans in place.

Installation for the motherboard was very easy and the Spiden 99-B has plenty of space for an install. The only complication I ran into was installing an older 32X CD-ROM. The fan that is mounted in the top window was butting up against the CD-ROM no matter where I positioned it. If it was posistioned too far out the door wasn't shut, too far in the fan made noise. So people planning to use old drives in this case may want to take that into consideration. It will not accept a CD-ROM any longer than 8.25". All in all though, the installation process was simple.
