My mother always told me - "Good things come in small packages". She wasn't lying. The Noisetaker 425 is a real beauty. Inside the green enermax box I found the Power supply unit, power cable, screws, and a very good manual . It's all packaged very well and protected in bubble wrap. The unit itself is a metallic blue color and has a nice gloss to the paint, very attractive. Everything needed to get this thing plugged into a box and fired up.
Notice the sleeving and all the extra connectors. They are a big touchdown for a Power supply.
Connections- Its all about connections right? The Noisetaker 425 has an abundance of them. As you can see in the pictures above, The Main atx and all aux power connectors are sleeved in a braided chrome mesh and black plastic tubing. This gives a very clean appearance to what otherwise is a big mess of wires, and will make the inside of your case look a whole lot cooler as well. It has six regular molex connections, two floppy drive size, two sata connectors, as well as the aux, aux 12v and independent connector made just for plugging into your high powered video card.
Smart Fan Technology. The noisetaker uses a system that keeps the Power supply's fans running for at least two minutes after you shut of your PC. This is a very smart and innovative idea. It sucks heat off your cpu and out of the power supply to cool your case down to a safer level. The fans adjust automatically, or you can adjust them manually via the knob on the back of the PSU. Either way you will be happy with the noise level, these are high quality fans and they are whisper quiet- even at full bore! The rear exhaust fans is solid black in color, while the bottom fan is completely transparent. This allows you to see the nice components inside of the PSU. This is all finished off with a nice gold tone finger guard, designed not to restrict airflow.
