The first thing I
noticed when I removed the Venus from it’s box was how small the case really was. This case is so small that it can litterally fit on a bookshelf. Not only is the case small, it's also solidly built and lightweight, especially when compared
with the modern day tower enclosures that everybody seems to be buying.
As we look at the
front of the case we don't see any of the external drive bays. Why you ask? Because they've stealthed them all. It’s a very simple
case that doesn’t have a lot of fancy buttons or switches to confuse.
Just a simple press of the power button and you're ready to go. It offers one 3.5” and one 5.25” drive bay are available for external use in this enclosure.
The Venus also offers connections for front USB/Firewire and front audio connectors for your headphones and mic. Following through with stealth nature of the Venus these are right behind a silver panel on the front of the case for easy and convenient access. The power button is surrounded by a bright blue ring which serves as a reminder that the computer is up and running.
The back side of the
case offers the same amenities as any modern day mATX case.
It has the standard 4 slots for all of your PCI/AGP needs, as well as
an I/O panel w/punch outs for everything you could want. Also on
the back of the case you see the standard 80mm fan which also happens
to be the only fan in the case providing any airflow in or out. Which makes this case very quiet.
Now lets see what's inside the Venus
