With processors getting faster and faster we have the need for speed, more speed from ram. The newer AMD processors like the Barton 3200+ and one version of the 3000+ do use a 400MHz FSB. So with that you do need 400mhz fsb ram, or DDR PC 3200. Then you have those like me who have the AMD Barton 2500+ which is at a 333mhz fsb, but hope to overclock it to 3200+ speeds (11x200). Today we'll be reviewing the new DDR PC3200 from Crucial, two single-sided 256MB sticks.

As you can see, Crucial does package their ram very well. The above box arrived in a FedEx envelope. Each stick came in its own anti static bag and shipping took only one day. Here is some important info about Crucial that they want you to know:
- Crucial does not support overclocking. Running Crucial memory outside of the intended specifications will void the Crucial warranty.
- Crucial is a division of Micron, we are the only memory upgrade provider selling direct from a DRAM manufacturer.
- We conduct over 95% of our transactions over the Internet. We truly use the Web to cut out the middlemen--creating efficiencies, cutting cost, boosting margins, and most of all, providing customer value.
- We are The Memory Experts (TM).

Installation~
As with any ram, you turn first your system off. Leave the power plug connected to the power supply. That helps to keep the case grounded. Touch a metal part on the case, then remove the old ram. Touch a metal part on the case again (this helps to discharge any static) and install the new sticks of ram. You might need to change a setting in the bios (see your motherboard manual for more info).
