The PP-412X:
Inside the the PP-412X's bright red Antec box, you will find the power supply, a A/C power cord for the power supply, screws for mounting the power supply, and a slip containing all the specifications of the PP-412X. All in all, this is pretty standard stuff.

The PP-412X has a total of 8 available power connectors - 2 for floppy drives and 6 for 4-pin type peripherals. For those with Pentium4 systems, this unit also comes with a new header for Pentium4 compliance. It also nice to note that Antec has also included a very useful feature that has now just begun to appear in power supplies. The PP-412X includes a 2 wire/3 pin signal connector for the motherboard to enable users to monitor the power supply's fan via the motherboard's BIOS. This along with its standard temperature controlled fan makes a good combination. Until this feature bacame available, consumers were unable to monitor the cooling status of their power supplies. Although I would presume the next big step in improvements is actual temperature monitoring inside the power supply itself. Now THAT would be something to applaud for indeed. Finally, one last "new" feature that seemed to be absent in previous Antec power supplies is the power switch. I can't begin to tell you how important it is to actually have a power switch is when you get stuck and can't shut down while trying to overclock your PC.
