The WhisperRock II is all aluminum with an 80mm fan which includes a fan grill. Included is a small tube of white thermal grease and it did surprisingly well, just ran about 2-3 degrees higher than when using Actic Alumina. And as you can see it is a huge heatsink at 74x74x47mm but since it tapers off nearer the bottom this will probably fit about all motherboards on the market. To give you a better idea on the size below we have a comparison, to the left is the Volcano 7+, in the middle is the WhisperRock II and on the right is the small Cak II 68. Even though the WhisperRock II is larger at the top than the Volcano 7+ it is smaller nearer the bottom helping to make for an easier install by not being closer to any capasitors.

Below is a closer look at the aluminum heatsink and it's design. It's a very simple looking design with the contour shape but from from the feel it does comes across like a good grade of aluminum. Doesn't feel cheap as some do. The single clip has a curve nearer the back which allows it to pivot a bit easier making for an easier intall. They install is very simple also just attach the rear clip on the motherboard catch, gently lower the heatsink down on the cpu and using a proper-fitting screwdriver insert it in the front clip and guide the clip on the front motherboard catch.
