Cre Air Ultra Violet Fans

Now most people that are serious enthuasists like myself know that keeping the inside of your case cool is very important. And now days its important and fun to make your case look cool as well! The great people at SVC has sent us 3 colored Ultra Voilet fans for us to check out. These fans are available in blue, green, and orange.

I was really pleased when I opened up the fans. Each fan comes with a grill, a 3 pin to 4 pin adapter, as well as a bag of 4 screws. All the necessary hardware to fit them into just about any spot that takes a 80x80 mm fan.

Before I installed these I had to see what they looked like under UV light and I can say I was very pleased. They lit up nice and bright. I especially like the blue and green one myself. I've never been a fan of orange but it still looks nice.

Installation of these fans for myself was easy. I have one of those nifty Chieftec cases with the fan brackets in which the fan just snaps into and then the bracket clips into the case. For those of you who don't have a case like this you'll need to use the included screws to hold them into place. The wires are pretty long, much longer than you normally see. I didn't have any problems reaching a 4 pin connector in my case with these fans.

I just think these UV fans are so damn sweet looking! One thing I really like about them is that the whole fan lights up. Its not like those LED fans where certain parts of the fan are bright. Also with UV fans if you get tired of looking at them, just turn off your uv cold cathode and they are gone. If you do this with the LED lighted fans you just lost your air flow within your case! They move a nice amount of air and are very quiet also, not much more you could really ask for is there?

The only downfall to UV fans is that the need for black light or uv light is needed in order to make them glow. SVC has UV cold cathode tubes which work very well I might add. Other than this one minor thing these fans are just awesome! Add in some UV rounded cables and some uv sleeving on your cabling and you can have your case glowing all sorts of cool colors!
