1. With the selected Pentium 4 motherboard out of the case enclosure and faced down on a flat clean surface, insert the backplate & flip the motherboard around upright while holding the backplate by hand in place.
2. Insert the provided plastic bushings with the hook side up over the four metal posts of the backplate.
3. Remove the thermal pad liner on the bottom of the heat sink.
4. Carefully place the heatsink by lining the four holes on the heatsink over the four posts of the retention module.
5. Move both locking clamps in an upward position.
6. Line up the metal fan holder holes with the four metal posts of the backplate.
7. Press down on the frame of the metal fan holder until it snaps into place on the four metal posts of the backplate.
8. Press clamps downward to lock the four metal posts of the backplate in place within the frame of the metal fan holder.
