The Design

The design of the heatsink and the retainer clip used gives full coverage of the entire base with cooling fins. Unlike most that require that center of the plate is void to make room for the retaining clip.

Included with the cooler is a small tube of white thermal grease (notice that there is no thermal pad stuck to the bottom that you would have removed anyway) and a 3 to 4 pin adapter. Something that all heatsinks should come with, but don't.

As you can see the high polished finish of this cooler made taking pictures a challenge. But with a nice polished bottom like that, it does make for better heat transfer.
