The fan is my favorite part of this whole thing. It is a 3 in 1 fan. You can run this fan wide open. Hook up the rheostat to it and you can adjust this fan from 1300 rpm's up to 4800 rpms. And last you can hook up a temperature probe so as the temp increases so does the speed of the fan. The orange color of it is something else. It's bright and doesn't look bad. But it may not be for everyone. Personally I think it would look nice if it was a royal blue color, but thats just a personal preference.

The fan comes default with a jumper on the connector below. With it jumped the fan will run at its maximum potential of 4800 rpms. This is also the connector that the temperature probe hooks up to. To hook up the temp probe all that needs to be done is to take off the jumper and connect the probe up to it. As far as where to place the probe is up to you. Thermaltake recommends placing it below the processor as seen in the picture below. The wires are small enough on the probe that you can do this but, do it with caution. When this is done it will raise one side of the CPU up a little bit. You can also see that the probe just barely fits between the pins. This definately needs to be smaller. There is a chance you could catch this on the inside edge of the socket and hold the cpu up even more. I wasn't real comfortable with this method as I didn't want to ruin the CPU so I choose to wedge it into the fins at the bottom of the heatsink. I'm not sure how well it will work like this but we'll soon see.
