Now about installing this heatsink. Trust me, do read the included instruction book. It's just a few pages and you may need a magnifying glass because the print is very tiny. If you're building a system then before you install the motherboard you need to install this heatsink first. And yes that means if you already have your system assembled and wish to use this heatsink then you will have to remove the motherboard. You have to put in screws from the bottom so you can attach the those gold colored spacers. You must also use the included cardboard washers between the screws and spacers.

After attaching the spacers then you can install the cpu and then the heatsink. This is the tricky part. It has long screws with springs going through the sides of the heatsink which screws in to those spacers. By tricky I mean you can't just tighten each one randomly, that way you might crack the cpu core. Best way is to semi secure one, then another on the opposite side and continue till all are semi secure and then make them more firm the same way.

The Zalman 5001 comes with two connectors which you connect to the 3-pin from the fan to the motherboard. The purpose of this is to provide quiet cooling. One is rated at 18cfm and 2500rpm while the other is 11cfm at 1900rpm. And yes both are barely audible but you sacrifice cooling power drastically.
